Cordell High School (CHS) is now offering an exciting way for students to showcase their creativity and individuality for the upcoming school year.
For the first time, CHS is offering students the chance to customize their parking spots. These personalized spaces not only add a fun element to parking but also contribute to a more orderly start to the day, reducing the early morning chaos.
Spaces are available on a first-come, first-served basis and are obtainable for purchase throughout the year. The cost for a parking space is $50, regardless of the purchase date. Spots are available to all students who have a license. Spots must be painted with water-based paint with a pre-approved, school-appropriate design. The parking spots must be painted for proof of purchase and reserved only for purchasers during regular school hours. The funds raised from these personalized parking spaces will be channeled into a special activity fund, which will be used for special projects throughout the year.
When students are ready to purchase a spot, they’ll need to bring a copy of their driver’s license with all the necessary information: a copy of their vehicle insurance, tag number, make, model, and vehicle color. Having all the required information beforehand will help the school process their purchase smoothly. CHS will start selling spaces on Monday, July 29, from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m.
Allowing the students to express their personalities is a phenomenal way to start the 2024-25 school year. Cordell Public School’s first day of school is August 8.
