On average, families in Oklahoma spend around $70 per elementary student on school supplies each year. Many families have multiple children who need supplies, and costs can really add up.
As a way to help support the needs of families in our community, Cordell Schools has announced that they will provide needed school supplies for each child in grades Pre-K through Sixth for the 2024 - 2025 school year. This means no supply lists, and big savings for families.
In addition to saving on school supplies, Cordell Schools has qualified for the Community Eligibility Provision (CEP) for the 2024 - 2025 school year.
Starting this fall, all students, from Pre-K to 12th grade will receive free breakfast and lunch every school day, with no need to fill out applications for free and reduced meals.
In their announcement, Cordell Schools said “We are committed to ensuring that every student has access to nutritious meals to fuel their learning journey. With CEP, we’re removing barriers and making sure that hunger never stands in the way of our students’ success. Thank you to everyone who has suported our efforts to provide for our students’ well-being. Let’s make this upcoming school year the best one yet!”
