A new flower shop has graced the town of Cordell with a colorful new blossom of fresh and silk flowers, women’s attire ranging from edgy to business casual, jewelry, fragrances, detergents, decor, and much more. Following its grand opening on February 9th, The Wildflower, owned by local entrepreneur Lauren Geisler, has fun plans to appeal to community residents of all ages.
“I’ve always wanted to have another flower shop. I had one ten years ago, but it was just a small pop-up for Valentine’s Day that I kept open for six months. I’ve always had the desire to do this,” said shop owner Geisler. “I had a vision and originally had planned to open in Weatherford but decided to open in Cordell. Our grand opening was a great success, and I had a lot of support from the community. I’m really thankful, for sure!”
Like the store’s name, Geisler herself is like a wildflower, “I just roll with it, and wherever I am planted, I just bloom.”
Much of Geisler’s work can be seen throughout Cordell, from updated businesses to home remodeling, and even custom art pieces can be seen in The Wildflower. Creativity is nothing new to Geisler. Jaiden Dobbs, a Cordell High School student and daughter to Geisler, has also sprinkled her creativity throughout the store with handmade jewelry and articulate insight when choosing boutique clothing items for the store.
With prom, Easter, and Memorial Day coming up, The Wildflower is available to help with any needs, from custom flower arrangements, wristlets, boutonnieres, Easter baskets and lilies, and so much more in store for the community! As the year progresses, residents can look forward to painting parties, permanent jewelry, and floral arrangement events. The Wildflower is open Monday through Friday, 10:00 am to 6:00 pm, and Saturday, 10:00 am to 2:00 pm., located at 112 N Market St.
