Now on the 11th day of December 2023, the County Commissioners in and for Washita County met in regular session with Chairman Goeringer calling the meeting to order.

Motion made by Gossen seconded by Chandler to sign Resolution No. 2023- 59 declaring the filing period of January 8 – 12, 2024 and election date of January 30, 2024 for the annual fair board director election. The Board opened Bid No. 2023-06 for 6-month bids for road and bridge materials. Motion made by Gossen seconded by Chandler to table awarding the bids so they may be reviewed further. Gossen, yes; Goeringer, yes; Chandler, yes.
The Board opened Bid No. 2023-07 for election ballots for 2024. Bids were received from Midwest Printing and Royal Printing. Motion made by Gossen seconded by Chandler to table awarding the bids so they may be reviewed further. Gossen, yes; Goeringer, yes; Chandler, yes.
The Board opened Bid No. 2023-08 for drug screening devices for the Washita – Custer County Treatment Court. Bids were received from National Test Systems. The Board discussed the luminaries placed on the Courthouse lawn by the City of Cordell. The city will be contacted to have them removed by the end of the first week in January. No action was taken.
