With the goal of helping local businesses ‘get into the black’ before the end of the year, Cordell Chamber of Commerce is hosting a shop-local themed day of fun on November 18th from 9 a.m. until 2 p.m.
Chamber Executive Director and event coordinator Sarah Lau said “We just want to do what we can to help our wonderful local shops boost their holiday sales numbers and also help our community find those one-of-a-kind perfect gifts that can be found right here in Cordell.”
In addition to local stores, pop-up vendors will be located in the ‘cave’ of the Washita Theatre. V’s Smokehouse will also have their new food trailer available with delicious homemade fare.
An extra bit of fun can be found with a 3 p.m. showing of the movie Elf at the Washita Theatre for only $3 per ticket. While you are there, purchase a Washita Theatre gift certificate for $25 or more and get a coupon for a free large popcorn. Do something big! Shop small. Your local businesses depend on it.
