The Cordell Academic Foundation is made up of many Cordell Public School alumni, retired Cordell teachers and administrators, and parents of current Cordell students. The Foundation’s ultimate purpose is to support public education in Cordell by providing access to resources that may not otherwise be available through regular academic funding. To meet this goal, the Foundation provides a channel for private funds to enrich public education through fundraising as well as receipt of private donations. Funds collected by the Foundation are distributed in numerous ways for the direct benefit of the teachers, staff and students of Cordell Public Schools. The Foundation sponsors annual Grants, open to any teacher at Cordell Public Schools, that are intended to fund special projects, field trips and enrichment activities for Cordell students. For the 2023-24 school year, we awarded nearly $10,000 in grants! The Foundation also assists in the purchase of all school supplies for elementary students, in conjunction with other community and religious partners. Additionally, the Foundation prepares special Thank You gifts for all teachers in the District for Teacher Appreciation month each May.

The Academic Foundation is about to kick off it’s biggest annual fundraiser and we NEED YOUR HELP! We will, once again, be raffling off a Meat Pack from Mike’s Meats valued at $500.00! Raffle tickets will be on sale starting the second week of October. Entries will be $10.00 per ticket or 6 tickets for $50.00. All donations are tax deductible. The lucky winner will be announced at the last home basketball game before Winter Break in December. See any member of the Cordell Academic Foundation to purchase- we will have a booth at the Pumpkin Festival and will be set up at football and basketball games once tickets are available.
