Area Fire Departments participate in Annual National 9/11 Memorial Stair Climb event

Early Monday morning, September 11, Cordell, Bessie, and Corn Fire Departments took to the stairs of the Washita County Courthouse, where they began to climb the equivalent of 110 stories of the World Trade Center in honor of the 22nd anniversary of the 9/11 terror attacks and the FDNY firefighters who made the ultimate sacrifice. Craig Kliewer, Garrett Lawson, Tate Kimbro, David Miller, Andrea Palmer, Tom Boecker, Cody Pollard, Seth Slaughterback, Jeff Jaronek, and Eric Vandever participated in the 9/11 Memorial Stair Climb event. Through the fire department and community participation, we will continue to remember those who lost their lives.
