Cordell Schools 70’s Grads reunion starts Friday

Reunion planners from the graduating classes of 1970-1979 have announced the final schedule of events for the celebrations being held this weekend, July 28th and 29th. Kicking off Friday evening is the Check-In at the Washita County Activity Center from 6 - 7 p.m. At 7 there will be a welcoming speech with Travis Victory and invocation by Greg Cox. Following will be an Italian buffet prepared by From Scratch. From 8 - 11 p.m. Epic Entertainment by DJ Dan will keep things rocking.

Saturday, July 29th will feature a golf tournament from 8 a.m. til 1 p.m. Get up early to enjoy a delicious breakfast at one of Cordell’s fine eating establishments, including The Jelly Lady Debbie Wedel with breakfast burritos and other items beginning at 7 a.m. at 109 N. Market, Bean & Ladle at 116 N. Market, Right Here/ Subway at 420 N. Glenn English, and Molly’s Donuts at 216 E. Main.

From 1 p.m. - 2 p.m., Cordell High School will be open for a walk down Memory Lane. From 2 p.m. - 4 p.m. there will be class socials at the Senior Citizen building for 1970-1974 grads, and the Washita County Activity Center for 1975-1979 grads.

From 6:30 - 7 p.m., check in for the evening activities will be at the Activity Center, followed by Golf Awards and a Mexican buffet by Restaurante Rios.

Capping of the weekend, The Dean Jackson Band will play at the Lee Park pavilion from 9 p.m. - Midnight.
