Claudia Gray of Cordell hosted the Third Annual 1958 Dill City Class Reunion at Shorty’s in Cordell. This is her report.
This was the classes 65th anniversary. Attending were Wayne Bookout, who traveled from Wichita, Kansas, Tommy Slatton and wife Roslyn from Amarillo, Don and Lee Britton from Edmond, Carl Groschick from OKC, Leon and Nadine Bailey from Altus, James and Jay Brown from OKC, Jimmy and Lowayne Piercey from Dill City, but they were my guests. We had guests to come in to visit Carmen, Charlene, MaryAnn, Jay Nancey to see Tommy Slatton. Unable to attend were Mary Bolle Freeland and her driver Mariam. Ruby Nichols was on her way from Moore but was blown off the road a couple of times and it rained so hard she couldn’t see, she was at Minco and turned around and headed home. Sandra Rowe was unable to come, the ones she talked to said they had a great time. Please plan on first Friday in June 2024 to meet again in Cordell.
