Cordell’s Zetta Penner to be recognized on News 9 segment

A hometown hero is described as an individual who is willing to go the extra mile to help a neighbor in need, always helping others or as someone who is striving to make an impact in their community. News 9 and Quail Creek Bank like to recognize the hometown heroes living among us.

Lazetta (Zetta) Penner was nominated for the Hometown Hero Award presented by News 9 and Quail Creek Bank by her daughters Cindy Butler and Brenda Penner.

“I think this woman is such an inspiration to all of us. If there was ever a “Hometown Hero” in this state, it is 87-year-old Lazetta Penner. I live in her enthusiasm everyday,” expressed Butler.

Zetta was nominated due to her tremendous efforts to serve Cordell and her countless accomplishments for the City throughout her career. She could not be any prouder to be a member of Cordell and sends ‘All is well in the best city in the world’ to her daughters every morning without fail.

Tune in Thursday morning, April 27, at 9:00 a.m. to view a well-known member of the community receive some much deserved recognition for her service.
