‘Shop the Blocks in Cordell’ event set for Dec. 17th

With the goal of helping local businesses ‘get into the black’ before the end of the year, Cordell Chamber of Commerce is hosting a shop-local themed day of fun on December 17th from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m.

Chamber Executive Director and event coordinator Sarah Lau said “We just want to do what we can to help our wonderful local shops boost their holiday sales numbers and also help our community find those one-of-a-kind perfect gifts that can be found right here in Cordell.”

In addition to local stores, pop-up vendors will be located in Bean & Ladle on North Market Street and in the ‘cave’ of the Washita Theatre.

An extra bit of fun can be found with a 2 p.m. showing of the movie Elf at the Washita Theatre for only $3 per ticket.

The Chamber will be giving away various prizes with the grand prize being a full turkey dinner including delicious sides and desserts. You can obtain raffle tickets by spending $10 or more at participating stores during Shop the Blocks. Turn your tickets in at the Washita Theatre by 3 p.m.
