The Academic Foundation helps with funding for academic experiences that might otherwise be unattainable within the confines of the regular school budget. All kinds of programs are funded through the Foundation: from special classroom projects in science to guest speakers in social studies; from academic fairs to innovative programs in mathematics. These funds are kept in the Foundation’s accounts and do not become a part of the general fund of the Board of Education, nor are they used for basic salary or benefit expenses.
