Much needed and highly anticipated improvements to the City of Cordell’s aging water system are finally becoming a reality.
Residents may not see results any time soon, but our city employees and contractors are hard at work in the beginning stages of the project.
The City’s administration issued the following statement to the Beacon:
The City of New Cordell (City) is in the beginning phases of upgrading the water system.
This will include work on the downtown water tower as well as incorporating new lines into the system.
The residents may experience low water pressure, as well as discolored water temporarily due to the project.
The project will take several months to complete and with the changes, clarity as well as pressure will be restored.
The City advises that residents are responsible for the water lines from the water meter to their homes.
If residents have concerns regarding the condition of those lines, residents should consult with a licensed plumber to evaluate the current condition of those lines.
The City apologizes in advance for any inconvenience this project may cause.
Your patience and support is appreciated.
Thank you in advance, from The City of New Cordell
