This week's Cordell Blue Devil Student Spotlight is sixth grader Zayden Jones. His enthusiasm and outgoing personality has landed him in the spotlight! Zayden finds joy in everything he does. Zayden enjoys the outdoors, playing sports and spending time with his family and friends. Continue reading to see what he wants to be when he grows up!
Can you tell us a little about yourself?
I love playing baseball, football, and basketball with my friends and I like being out on the farm with my family. I also like to hunt, fish, go to the lake, play outside, ride my four wheeler, and jump on my trampoline. I love dogs, horses, cows, and chickens. My favorite food would have to be tacos
How has your school year been so far? Have you done anything really fun and exciting?
It's been good! Right now I'm getting to play junior high baseball and that's been fun.
What is your favorite part about school and why? Who are your friends?
I like school so I can see all of my friends and play sports with them. It gives me a chance to practice and be better. My best friends are Kreed Rogers, Briggs Reeves, Aiden and Andrew Willard, Connor Gregg and Austin White.
Is there anything upcoming that you are really excited about?
I get to play 7 on 7 football soon, and I'm going to Florida to the beach with my family for summer vacation and then to Louisiana on a swamp tour.

What do you want to be when you grow up? What would you like to do?
I want to go to Tulsa Welding School and become a good welder.
What makes you happy?
Being around friends and family, playing sports, going to church and making people laugh.
If you could visit anywhere in the world, where would you go and why?
Well I love Oklahoma because that's where all my family is, but I would choose Florida to go deep sea fishing, Wyoming, and Las Vegas for the NFR.
Is there anything else you would like us to know?
I'm a hard worker, I want to do my best, I'm an athlete, and I try and be thoughtful and do things for others.
