Cordell Chamber of Commerce presents awards at banquet

Cordell Chamber of Commerce hosted their Annual Chamber Banquet on Monday, March 28.

At the banquet those who have diligently served our community were recognized.

Cordell Nursing and Rehabilitation, along with Administrator Gail Wilcox, generously donated the dinner featuring a baked potato bar.

V’s Smokehouse of Cordell prepared the brisket.

Awards presented were: Business of the Year – Slice 183, Community Service Award – Washita Custer County Treatment Court, Educator of the Year – Bob Ogle, Selfless Servant Award – Rachel Jones, and lastly the Cordell Beacon Person of the Year Award – Judge Christopher Kelly.

This year’s Chamber Banquet was a black and gold birthday themed event that helped celebrate the Chamber’s 80th birthday!

Sarah Lau, Executive Director for the Chamber of Commerce, would like to say thank you to all of the members who sponsored tables, to Gail Wilcox and her staff at Cordell Nursing and Rehabilitation, V’s Smokehouse, and to all the recipients of the awards.
