Cordell Blue Devil Student Spotlight Chelsea Maddox

Chelsea Maddox is a fun and vibrant fourth grader at Cordell Elementary. She was nominated as this week’s Cordell Blue Devil Student Spotlight by Mrs. Allison Russell. Her spunky personality has landed her in the much deserving spotlight! Read more below about Chelsea and what she wants to be when she grows up!

Can you tell us a little about yourself? What is your favorite thing to do, favorite food, any pets?

My name is Chelsea Maddox. I have 1 sister, Layk’n Maddox and 1 brother, Marcus Wilson. I have 4 animals, 1 cat, Amara, and 3 dogs, Buster, Buckey and Hoss. My favorite thing to do is play Fortnite. My favorite animal is a horse. My favorite color is purple. My favorite food is Subway sandwiches.

How has your school year been so far? Have you done anything really fun and exciting?

My school year has been amazing so far. I have made new friends and I’ve made really good grades this year. I have moved to a new house this year and my mom and dad got a new job, that’s been exciting.

What is your favorite part about school? Who are your friends?

My favorite part of school is math! My friends are all of my classmates! My best friend is Sonya Schmidt.

What are you most excited about for the second half of the school year?

I am most excited about all of the end of year activities. I am the most excited for Little Olympics because it’s a day full of fun, running and throwing softballs!

What do you want to be when you grow up? What would you like to do?

I want to be a veterinarian when I grow up because you get to help animals and save their lives and I love animals!

What makes you really happy?

Seeing my teachers and my friends everyday! I also am very happy when my dad gets home from work!

Is there anything else you would like to say?

I got a new PE teacher, and I got new teachers this year who have taught me a lot about all the subjects!
