Robbi Regier

With many amazing teachers at Cordell Elementary, one in particular stands out. Robbi Regier has been teaching first grade at Cordell for three years and has loved every second of it. She strives to be a positive role model in the lives of her students. Mrs. Regier has been chosen as this week’s Cordell Blue Devil Faculty Spotlight for far more than just the love and joy she brings into the classroom. Read more about Mrs. Regier below.

Can you tell us just a little bit about yourself? Who are you, what do you do, how long you’ve worked here, etc?

My name is Robbi Regier. I love spending time with my family. I’m married to Shane Regier and we have been married for 19 years. We have three sweet boys that we are very proud of. Our first son is Bradley, he is in the 7th grade. Our second son is Rienhart, he is in the 5th grade. Our third son is Aiden, he is in the 2nd grade. They all attend Cordell Public Schools. This is my eighth year teaching and my third year teaching here at Cordell.

What are your goals for the second half of the school year?

My goal is to help all of my students become independent readers by the end of first grade. I want to be supportive to them and be a positive role model. When they are at school, I want them to know that they are loved and important.

What has been your favorite moment from this year?

My favorite moment this year would be on the day of our Christmas party. My kids were so sweet playing games, singing Christmas carols, and opening presents. The sweet joy on their faces made it.

Can you describe the moment you knew you wanted to be a teacher?

I’m not sure the exact moment that I knew, but for as long as I can remember I always wanted to be a teacher. As a child that was my dream. I had such amazing teachers growing up and they influenced me to pursue a career as an educator.

What subject/grade do you teach and why that specific one?

I am teaching first grade and loving every minute of it. I enjoy working with the younger students, they are so much fun and eager to learn.

What motivates you to be the best teacher you can be for your students?

My students motivate me. I take great joy when seeing the light bulb come on when they learn something new. I want to make a positive difference that will be sustained throughout their lifetime.

When you’re not teaching, how do you like to spend your time?

I love spending time with my family, being outdoors, going to the movies, traveling, and hanging out at home with my dog, Maddie.

Do you have any advice for your students?

I want them to always believe in themselves, stay strong, and never give up.
