Cordell Masonic Lodge #127 presented a check for $7,300 to Cordell Scout Troop #315, which was money earned through a partnership between the Masons and the Scouts for a pulled pork and smoked sausage fundraiser held in November. The fundraiser was organized by the Scouts to purchase an enclosed trailer to be used for hauling camping gear and other equipment frequently used by the Troop. Due to overwhelming support from the community, the fundraiser far surpassed the original goal of $5,500.
