Christmas Bazaar event set for next weekend

The 3rd Annual Christmas Bazaar will be held at the Washita County Fairgrounds on Saturday, December 4th through Sunday, December 5th. Everyone is invited to come and shop the large array of items from a host of home-based businesses.

The Christmas Bazaar was first held in 2019 and featured booths from local home-based businesses. Organizers, Kristen Lee and Candy Rogers thought it would be a fun event that could help out small business owners and homebased businesses. The first year started off slow with about 5 to 6 vendors but then quickly became a packed house with over 16 vendors participating. After a successful event, vendors and shoppers alike were ready to continue the tradition.

Despite Covid-19, with social distancing and mask requirements, the Christmas Bazaar continued in 2020 and again was a great success. Vendor Booths were sold out and everyone who participated, either as a vendor or shopper, had a wonderful time.

Kristin Lee explained that the purpose of the Christmas Bazaar is to help promote small business owners that do not have a store front.

“Our Christmas Bazaar offers a great variety of local homemade goodies, as well as all of your favorite direct sales gals that will be there with great gift ideas and plenty of cash and carry items.”

This year’s vendors will include those selling homemade quilts and crocheted items; homemade jams, jellies, breads and other baked goods; fashion, jewelry and accessories; household items and Rada cutlery; live plant arrangements; holiday decorations and wreaths; and a whole lot more.

There will also be several direct-sales businesses that will be there with their items such as Tupperware, Scentsy, ColorStreet, Paparazzi, Norwex and LulaRoe. Jennifer Cary will also be serving delicious food and drinks from the kitchen during the event.

The event is free to the public and is a great way for the community to support our home-based businesses; meanwhile, they can pick up some wonderful Christmas gifts all in one location.

Be sure to make plans to attend the 3rd annual Christmas Bazaar next Saturday and Sunday at the Washita County Fairgrounds.

There are still a few vendor booths available to reserve. If you are interested, you can contact Kristen lee at (580) 660-5689 or Candy Rogers at (580) 660-6551 by Saturday, November 27th.
