The Dill Work and Play OHCE and the wiling Workers met September 14, 2021 at 11:00am for a Brunch and regular meeting in the home of Jane Shall. Anna Prickett led a prayer and we enjoyed a delicious meal. The meal was enlarge furnished by Jane, but several members also helped.
Jane called the meeting to order and Emma Bingham led the Pledge to the US Flag. Anna led the song Old Gray Mare Aren’t What She Used to Be. Everyone had a laugh and good time.
Wilma Gathright showed several pictures from past meetings and gatherings, and gave to members that wanted them.
Emma gave a devotional “Importance of Friends,” Ecclesiastes 4:8-12. Emma also called roll with 11answering with “What was your favorite brunch or gathering?” Which resulted in some wonderful stories of friends and family. Emma read the minutes from the August meeting of Dill Work and Play. The Wiling Workers had already had their meeting.
Lowayne Piercey gave a 4-H report the County 4-H will have Awards in the Park in Cordell September 28, at 6:30pm.
Wilma gave a thank you to the club for the gift in remembrance of her husband David. Emma gave a thought on David. It was told to her at a Beckham County that they remembered David for giving at least 3 gallons of blood before he had to stop giving. It was a gesture of respect to his memory.
Both clubs received Complete Exhibit at the County Fair. The OHCE Silent Auction did very well at the County Fair and a thank you goes to all who helped.
For Cultural Art Jane showed a Quilt. Her mother got quilt blocks for a wedding gift and put them together herself but never got the quilt made, Anna, Jane’s aunt found the quilt stored and had it quilted for a gift. Now Jane has the quilt on her bed, a real fun story. Jane also showed several fun and beautiful things she has in her home from her mother. She also showed some art pieces she has.
Jane told the group the New Indian Museum has opened in Oklahoma City and suggested we make it our next tour. She also thought we may enjoy a museum on the trip.
Vickie Werner gave the program “Planning Your funeral and gave handouts.
Our next meeting will be “Easy Sheet Pan Meals,” Lowayne will be the leader and Leaders Lesson will be September 29, at 2:00.

The meeting was dismissed with the Lord’s Prayer led by Lowayne. The group had a good long visit of stories and visitations. It was a very nice meeting.
