August 16th, 2020. Fall semester classes begin August 16 at Southwestern Oklahoma State University in Weatherford, Sayre, and Yukon, and enrollment continues for students who want to begin or continue their educational endeavors at SWOSU.
Shamus Moore, registrar on the Weatherford campus, said students can enroll at the Registrar’s Office on either the Weatherford or Sayre campuses. Online enrollment is also available through the SWOSU website for students that have completed at least 60 hours and the prior semester at SWOSU. Students must already be fully admitted to the University and have no holds on their account. See the university website (www.swosu.edu) for a complete listing of courses.
For incoming freshmen, the university offers one more enrollment opportunity for high school seniors who plan to attend SWOSU this fall. An enrollment session is planned August 11.
Additional information is available by calling the Weatherford Registrar’s office at (580) 774-3777 or visit www.swosu.edu.
August 26th, 2020. Southwestern Oklahoma State University’s annual Organizational Fair is planned for Thursday, August 26, on the Weatherford campus.
Area businesses, churches, student organizations/clubs and others will have free booths from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. outside the Memorial Student Center. The popular Organizational Fair is held during a Dawg Days celebration to welcome SWOSU students back to campus.
SWOSU Dean of Students Joshua Engle said it is a great way for area groups/businesses to meet and visit with SWOSU students.
Booth reservation forms are due by August 18 and available by emailing deanoffice@swosu.edu or picking up a form in the Dean of Students office (Stafford 214).
Because of the popularity of the event, businesses are encouraged to bring their own tables and chairs if possible.
In case of inclement weather, the fair will be held at the Pioneer Cellular Event Center.
