Washita County’s number of new positive COVID-19 cases for the seventh consecutive week is barely up from the last report, figures from the Oklahoma State Department of Health show.
Once again, there have been no new deaths reported in the county due to COVID-19 by the Oklahoma State Department of Health.
The total number testing positive in the county is now 1,081. It was 1,079 at the last reporting, an increase of only two. It was 1,075 three weeks ago. Four weeks ago the number was 1,074. 1,059 cases have recovered.
Total deaths in the county attributed to COVID-19 still stands at 21, the OSDH reports.
Cordell has six of the deaths in the county.
Burns Flat still has 148 cases, the same number as previously reported. It has the second highest number in the county. Of those, 146 have recovered, the OSDH said, three more than the last report.
Burns Flat also has two of the reported deaths in the county.
Canute has 140, two up from the last report. It has the third highest number in the county. Sentinel has 110. Of the 140 in Canute, 137 have recovered and 108 have recovered in Sentinel.

Other communities in Washita County reporting positive cases and the number recovered include: Dill City 67 and 65; Rocky 39 and 39.
