Washita County’s number of new positive COVID-19 cases for at least the fourth consecutive week is barely up from the last report, figures from the Oklahoma State Department of Health show.
And there have been no new deaths in the county due to COVId-19, the Oklahoma State Department of Health figures show.
The total number testing positive in the county is now 1,074.
It was 1,073 at the last reporting, an increase of only one. It was 1,067 two weeks ago. Three weeks ago the number was 1,064.
Total deaths in the county attributed to COVID-19 still stands at 21, the OSDH reports.
Of the 1,074 cases, 1,030 have recovered, the OSDH said.
Of the positive 1,074 cases, Cordell has the most with 328. Of the 328, there have been 314 who have recovered. These numbers are the same as the last reporting.
Cordell has six of the deaths in the county.
Burns Flat, still has 148 cases, the same number as previously reported. It has the second highest number in the county. Of those, 143 have recovered, the OSDH said.
Burns Flat also has two of the reported deaths in the county.
Canute has 136, the same as the last report. It has the third highest number in the county. Sentinel has 110. Of the 136 in Canute, 128 have recovered and 107 have recovered in Sentinel.

Sentinel also has two of the deaths in the county attributed to COVID-19, the OSDH reports.
Other communities in Washita County reporting positive cases and the number recovered include: Dill City 65 and 63; Rocky 39 and 38.
Statewide as of Monday, 445,650 people have tested positive.
On Monday, the OSDH reported 186 new cases and 21 more deaths since last Friday, April 16.
The OSDH reports more than 3,507,917, people have tested negative.
