Lady Devils Fall To Seiling, 67-35

The Lady Devils hosted the defending state champion Seiling Lady Cats at the Cordell Gymnasium Friday evening. After a hard-fought battle, the Lady Cats took home the 67-35 victory. Lady Devils’ head coach Jana Rogers said she was proud of the way her team is developing and improving in each game.

The Seiling Wildcats were the Blue Devils’ only game last week, coming to town for Cordell’s basketball homecoming. After a tough contest, the Cats claimed the 61-42 win.

The Cordell High School wrestlers kicked off their season last week with three events. On Tuesday they hosted the Comets of Hinton for a dual, then traveled to Anadarko Thursday for another. They ended the week at the Max Dippel Tournament in Weatherford on Friday and Saturday.

The Lady Blue Devils overcame a first round loss to Thomas to bounce back and claim fourth place in the Burns Flat-Dill City Tournament last week. Cordell’s girls started out Thursday against Thomas and struggled throughout the game. In the end, Thomas carried the 58-21 win over the Lady Devils.

Blue Devils Go Two And Out In Burns Flat

The Cordell Blue Devils wrapped up a tough week at the Burns Flat-Dill City Tournament. Despite hard play, Cordell’s boys were eliminated after losses to Lookeba-Sickles and Thomas. The Blue Devils opened their tournament appearance with a game against Lookeba-Sickles on Thursday.
