Earl Henderson Duke, age 75, longtime resident of Cordell, Oklahoma, passed away peacefully at his home with his beloved wife by his side on May 21st, 2025. Born on May 8th, 1950, in Cordell, Oklahoma, he was son of Homer and Patsy Duke.
Earl graduated from Cordell High School in 1968. He worked as a city worker for the city of Cordell for over 20 year and retired in January 2004. He then went on to work various jobs, one being Integris Health Hospital where he met wife Maria in 2009 and married in July of 2011 in Chicago Illinois.
Earl enjoyed woodworking, you would often find him building something new at his home. He enjoyed collecting antiques and memorabilia. He enjoyed sitting on his porch, listening to music, and talking about his family. He cherished the meaningful relationships he shared with his children and grandchildren, and his love and devotion to Maria was unwavering.
Earl was preceded in death by his parents; his brothers, Edward Duke, JerryDuke and Bobby Duke; and his daughter Mandy Duke.
He is survived by his loving wife, Maria; his daughters Melanie Torres and husband Mike Torres of Cordell and Diana Arevalo and husband Brandon Arevalo of Cordell; his brother Jimmy Duke of Bessie; his sister Nelda Duke of Cordell; his grandchildren, Alexis Torres, Gavin Torres, Deanyse Mogon, Sophie Arevalo and Oliver Arevalo.; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives.
A celebration of life will be held at 12:00 P.M. on Saturday, June 14, at his home in Cordell.
