Cordell BPA Launches Shoe Drive to Support Global Entrepreneurs

The Cordell Business Professionals of America (BPA) chapter is stepping up to make a difference both locally and globally through its ongoing Shoe Drive, now accepting donations through Thursday, January 1, 2026, at Cordell High School.

BPA members are collecting gently worn, used, and new shoes of all styles and sizes. The collected shoes will be sent to Funds2Orgs, an organization that redistributes them to micro-entrepreneurs in developing countries. These entrepreneurs then sell the shoes within their communities, helping them build sustainable small businesses to support their families, all while reducing waste and keeping shoes out of landfills.

Cordell BPA advisor Katie Love shared that the group’s mission goes beyond just collecting shoes. “We will be posting flyers around town with more drop-off locations,” Love said. “We’d appreciate your help in spreading the word so our community can come together to make a positive impact locally and globally. We chose to do a shoe drive so that, as a community, we could help others who struggle to help themselves.”

Interested in helping The Cordell BPA? Take a look through your closets and consider donating any shoes that are no longer used. Every pair contributes to environmental sustainability and provides an opportunity for families around the world to work toward financial independence.
