A Special Meeting of the Washita County Commissioners was held on September 3, 2025 with Chairman Gossen calling the meeting to order.
Chairman Gossen asked Kristen Dowell, County Clerk, for roll call. Roll call was answered by Gossen, present; Gray, present; Chandler, present.
Prayer was led by Vice-Chairman Chandler.
The Board discussed the distribution of the Preserving and Advancing County Transportation (PACT) funds received by Washita County for the road districts. A resolution will be signed at the meeting on September 8, 2025. No action was taken The Board discussed the receipt of a letter addressed to the Washita County Commissioners and Washita County Excise Board from Fellers Snider, Attorney At Law, representing the Washita County Assessor in connection with budgetary allocations. The Board was notified that the District Attorney had advised that the county seek outside counsel. Motion made by Gossen seconded by Chandler to seek representation from outside counsel to represent both Boards. Gossen, yes; Gray, yes; Chandler, yes.
