Cordell’s Hometown Celebration is stacking up to be a day of family fun, friendly competition, and a bit of old-fashioned luck, with the Cornhole Tournament and Bingo on Saturday, June 28.
The Cornhole Tournament, proudly sponsored by Woolfe Creek Insurance, invites teams of two to square off in a bracket-style contest. Registration is open from 9:00 a.m. to 10:30 a.m., with bags flying at 10:30 a.m. The entry fee is $20 per team, and $5 of each entry goes directly to support the Cordell Chamber of Commerce. The remainder goes into the prize pool for the winning teams, so bring your A-game and your best toss!
If your aim isn’t quite what it used to be, join in for some good old-fashioned BINGO! Sponsored by the Washita Theatre, Bingo runs from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. at just 50 cents a card, using reusable cards to keep the fun rolling. Whether you’re a seasoned player or shouting “BINGO!” for the first time, everyone’s welcome to join in and try for a win.
