Nohemi Chavez-Silvas, 85, of Cordell, Oklahoma, passed away peacefully at home on July 2, 2023.
She was born on May 7, 1938 to Ismael and Guadalupe (Solis) Chavez in Tampico, Mexico.
Nohemi grew up and attended school in La Laja Veracruz.
She met Asencion (John) Silvas and they were united in marriage in 1971.
Nohemi worked and retired from Cordell Public School.
She was the mother of four children. She enjoyed cats, sewing, and crocheting.
Nohemi loved God, cooking, and baking for her family. She was an avid figurine collector.
Nohemi will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
Survivors include her children: Leticia Hernandez, Daniel Salazar, and Mario Silvas, & Leroy Silvas. Grandchildren: Frank, Antonio, and Cristina Hernandez and Victor Silvas. One great-grandchild Kaylin Hernandez, and her Sister: Bernice Chavez Preceded in death by her Parents: Ismael Chavez and Guadalupe Solis Under the direction of Ray & Martha’s Funeral Home.
