Thirza Ann Shields, 70, of Gotebo, Oklahoma passed away unexpectedly on December 19th, 2022 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.
She was born on October 9th, 1952 to Eby Don and Hazel (Cox) Walters in Sentinel, Oklahoma.
Thirza grew up and attended school in Cordell, graduating from Cordell high school in 1970.
She met the love of her life David Shields and they were united in marriage on November 4, 1977 in Cordell, OK and together they raised 3 children.
Thirza worked as a rural Mail Carrier for the United States Postal Service for 32 years and she dearly loved her customers.
She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Gotebo, Oklahoma.
Thirza loved her family more than anything in this world. She was her grandkids biggest fan. She will be missed deeply by all who knew her.
Survivors include her husband: David Shields of the home; Children: Chris Shields & wife Dena, Cordell, OK, Mindy Dooley & husband Michael, Gotebo, OK, Ryan Shields & wife Tabitha, Gotebo, OK. Grandchildren: Jamie Phipps & husband Donavan, Kira Hoefar, Britton Shields, Morgan Dooley, Hayes Dooley, Bailee Barnett & husband Dillon. Great grandchildren: Harper Phipps, Brayden and Emmy Barnett Preceded in death by her Parents: Eby Don and Hazel Walters Funeral: 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, December 28, 2022, First Baptist Church, Gotebo, Oklahoma.
