Sue “Mema” Parsons, died Wednesday, November 23rd, 2022, surrounded by her family, in her home in Cordell, Oklahoma at the age of 79. Sue was born March 22, 1943, in Stephenville, Texas to Lee Roy Hein and Katherin Cecile Faubion-Kowacich. In 1962 she met and married, Norman John “Sonny” Parsons in Kermit, Texas. To this union were 4 children, Lorrie Rodriguez, Rhonda Langford, Manny Parsons & Michele Hardin.
Sue’s favorite thing was cooking. The kitchen was her home. She cooked for the Cordell Nursing Home for many years as well as the “Right Here” convenience store. Her retirement consisted of baking and cooking for all her family. She would bake cookies and desserts on a regular basis and then call her kids and grandkids to come get their share to take home. Her way of showing love was through her cooking. She also loved watching her grandkids play sports or any activity they were involved in. She always “Loved you much”.
Sue is preceded in death by her husband, Norman “Sonny” Parsons, her grandson, Joshua Hurst and her parents. She is survived by her three daughters, Lorrie Rodriguez and husband Joe, Rhonda Langford, Michele Hardin and husband BJ; one son, Manny Parsons and wife Sheri; one sister, Debbie Kowacich; 2 brothers, Nolan & Gordan Kowacich; grandchildren Sam, Christina, Johnny Lee, Laura, Kylie, Brayden, Danny, Brittin and Gabbie; 13 great grandchildren.
Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 pm, Sunday, December 11, 2022, at The Judah House of Praise in Cordell, Oklahoma, under the direction of Affordable Cremation Service.
