Glenda Taylor 71, of Weatherford

Funeral services for Glenda Joyce (Yearwood) Taylor, 71-year-old Weatherford resident, will be held Wednesday, Sept. 25, 2019, at 2:00 p.m. at Columbian Memorial Presbyterian Church in Colony. Burial will follow at Red Top Cemetery under the direction of Lockstone Funeral Home.

Glenda was born on July 13, 1948 in Hinton to Glenn and Nadine (Cronk) Yearwood and passed away on Saturday, Sept. 21, 2019, at her home south of Weatherford.

Glenda was raised in Colony, where she attended school until the 8th grade when the family moved to Cordell. She graduated from Sentinel High School.

On June 5, 1965, she married Robert Taylor in Hobart. In 1967, they moved to Ponca City where they made their home. She began working at St. Joseph Medical Center in accounts payable. In 2002, they moved south of Weatherford. Glenda enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, especially attending their activities and sporting events, sewing, and working on her computer. Glenda served on the board of the Washita County Historical Society and as president of the Colony Community in Action, Inc.

Glenda is survived by her husband Robert Taylor of the home; two daughters, Tamie Crum and husband Robert of Harrah and Tracy Meyer and husband George of Piedmont; one brother, Lonnie Yearwood and wife Jeanne of Colony; and six grandchildren, Tiffany Lumley, Aaron Crum, Matthew Crum, Brady Meyer, Catie Meyer, and Dakota Meyer.

She was preceded in death by her parents and one sister, Connie Reed.
