It’s almost that wonderful time of the summer when one person’s “Why did I buy this?” becomes another person’s “I can’t believe I found this!” Cordell’s Town-Wide Garage Sale is happening on Saturday, June 14th. Whether you’re on the hunt for vintage Pyrex, gently used lawn chairs, or that third coffee maker you definitely need, this is the day to shop ‘til you drop, or at least until the trunk is full.
If you’re planning to host a sale and want shoppers to find you, be sure to get listed on the official garage sale map. To do that, message the Cordell Chamber of Commerce on Facebook or call the Washita Theatre at (580) 660-8070 and speak with Sarah Lou for more information.
All those who intend to scour the best finds must read the fine print; even yard sales have rules. The cost to get your sale on the official sale map is $10. The deadline to sign up is June 6th; no exceptions or extensions will be granted. Your sale address will not be listed on the official map until payment is in.
Remember, the early bird gets the best deal and maybe that velvet Elvis painting you didn’t know you needed. So mark your calendars and price your treasures. Happy bargain hunting!
