In honor of the Christmas spirit the Burns Flat- Dill City Sr. 4-H club members held 2 workshops for the Jr. 4-H members and the cloverbuds. We were able to make over 150 sock and chapstick cupcakes and Christmas cards to be donated to the veterans’ center in Clinton. Evie Denny and Kathryn Sirmon helped finish and prepare the cards and Joey Mooney delivered them.
The Washita County Share-The-Fun is January 22 nd in the BF-DC high school cafeteria and is hosted by the BF-DC Sr. 4-H club, registration for an act is due January 19 th . It is an honor for our club to host this and we hope you will join us, the competition starts at 4:00 P.M.
Brance Barnett presented a workshop at Will Rodgers Elementary for the BF-DC Jr. and the BF- DC Cloverbuds January 10 th . He had them decorate leather feathers that they got to take home and he taught them some chemistry, as well. There were 24 Cloverbuds and 29 Jr. 4-H members in attendance.
Our West District specialist, Jim Rhoades, invited Brance and Braxton Barnett to the KNID Agrifest in Enid. Braxton presented an interactive display about the photography project area in 4-H. Brance had an interactive booth with different types of exotic leather and talked about his 4-H story as part of his Ambassador service.
