The City of New Cordell is gearing up for its Spring Cleanup, set for June 2–6, weather permitting. This citywide effort helps residents keep their properties clean and well-maintained by offering free curbside pick up of large and bulky items.
To participate, residents must complete the official sign-up form. Forms were mailed to households and are available at City Hall or www.cityofcordell.com. Completed forms must be submitted to City Hall or emailed to clerk@cityofcordell.com no later than 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday, May 28. Only registered participants will receive pick up service.
Important Guidelines to consider when preparing for the Spring cleanup.
Items must be placed curbside only; there are no alley pick ups. Do not place items out before Friday, May 30, and all items must be curbside by 6:00 a.m. Monday, June 2.
Keep tree limbs and trash at least 4 feet apart. Avoid placing items on or within 5 feet of utility equipment or fire hydrants. Tree limbs must be cut into bundles no longer than 6 feet.
The city uses a clam bucket for pick up, which may disturb lawns.
Chemicals or hazardous materials, appliances containing Freon, household garbage or bagged trash, batteries and tires, building teardowns or debris, and cardboard boxes will not be accepted.
This cleanup is a courtesy service provided to help with incidental large-item disposal. Residents or businesses with large volumes or significant tree limb piles are responsible for the removal themselves.
