Farm Bureau Board and Women’s Committee September meeting report

The Washita County Farm Bureau board and FB Women’s Committee held the 2025 annual meeting on September 23, at the Community Center beginning at 6:00 p.m.

The meeting started with a bingo party and hot dog feed. Eighty-six people served hot dogs, and bingo had $2000 given in prizes. A big prize included money, a fire extinguisher, a first-aid kit, and a fire alarm. Three winners won it.

At the end of bingo, the annual business meeting was held. Call to order, roll call, approval of minutes, financial report, new business at state convention, resolutions, reorganize board, and then adjournment of meeting.

Jordan Cook called the women’s leadership meeting to order. Bailey Beggs gave a devotional. Reports were made. Barnyard Olympics were held at the county fair on August 21. 26 youth joined in the fun. Youth from Canute, Cordell, Dill City, Rocky, Burns Flat, and Corn joined in games. Prizes were awarded, and Corben Dobbs was named most valuable player. Bailey reported on the Collegiate Farm Bureau meeting. Jorda and Nocona Cook hosted the Collegiate judging team from Connors State College and Northern Oklahoma College. Lots of kids made finals in OYE shooting sports.

Care and Share packaged 300 bags for the Oklahoma Homeless. The FB Coats for Kids program was shared with the group, and $50 was donated by a committee member.

Jimmy and Lowayne took a trip to Utah with their daughter, Sabrina, and son, Gary.
