Alzheimer’s support group available through Cordell Memorial Hospital and Senior Life Solutions

Facing Alzheimer’s disease, whether as a caregiver, family member, or individual living with the diagnosis, can feel isolating and overwhelming. But in Cordell, help and understanding are closer than you think. Cordell Memorial Hospital and Senior Life Solutions, in partnership with the Alzheimer’s Association and the Western Oklahoma Alzheimer’s Collaborative, are working together to offer a free Alzheimer’s Support Group for our community.

The group meets on the fourth Tuesday of every month from 5 to 6 p.m. at Senior Life Solutions, located at 1121 N. Market Street in Cordell. These meetings offer more than just conversation; they create a compassionate space for individuals and families to share experiences, exchange practical caregiving tips, and find emotional relief among people who understand.

Led by experienced facilitators, the group provides a welcoming environment where participants can feel supported and validated. In addition to emotional support, attendees can learn valuable information from experts on Alzheimer’s care, explore coping skills for managing daily stress, and discover new strategies for navigating the challenges associated with the disease.

Caring for someone with Alzheimer’s, or living with the disease yourself, presents daily struggles, but it doesn’t have to be faced alone. Through this group, attendees often form meaningful connections, develop effective problem-solving approaches, and gain the confidence that comes from knowing they are part of a community that cares.
