Chamber hosting Santa Thursday night on Facebook Live
The Cordell Chamber of Commerce will host Santa Claus live on its Facebook page at 6:30 p.m. Thursday.
Santa will tell a story and take questions from kiddos.
If you would like to be a part of this virtual event and want to ask Santa a question, text questions to (580)-825-6010 before 5 p.m. Thursday. Include your child’s name, age, grade (if in school) and question. The event is not limited to Cordell residents, the Chamber said, so anyone can be part of the event.
Enter Chamber’s best Christmas photo contest
Starting on Dec. 7, there will be a post on the Cordell Chamber of Commerce’s website for families to send in a picture of their Christmas tree, Christmas family photos or outside Christmas décor.
The chamber will announce a winner for the best-looking photo on Dec. 14, and the Cordell Beacon will publish the best Christmas photos in its annual Christmas edition.
Christmas Bazaar set for Saturday-Sunday
The second annual Christmas Bazaar will be Dec. 5-6 at the Washita County Activity Center in Cordell. Saturday’s hours will be from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., and Sunday noon to 4 p.m.
Vendors will include those selling homemade jams, jellies, breads and cookies.
There will also be vendors selling Tupperware, Scentsy, ColorStreet, Paparazzi and Norwex products. Others will be hawking homemade jewelry, rugs, car mats and crocheted items.
The event will feature something new this year, too: a photographer set up to do mini Christmas sessions.
