Aldava Acquitted On Child Sex Abuse Charge

After a two-day trial and less than three hours of deliberation, a Washita County jury acquitted Alejandro Aldava on a single felony charge of sexual abuse of a child. The trial concluded Tuesday, April 30, at the Washita County Courthouse in Cordell.

The alleged assault was initially reported by the victim’s mother in February 2018. The mother, Priscilla Aldava, reported to Officer Orval Segler of the Burns Flat Police Department that her husband, Alejandro Aldava, had inappropriately touched her daughter on multiple occasions dating back to November 2017.
