The February meeting of the Washita Chapter NSDAR was held Feb. 11, 2019, at the Café Clinton with the Regent Nancy Lisle assisted by Linda Stewart opening the meeting with the DAR Ritual. Mareen Hallmark led the group in the Pledge of Allegiance, Lu Eisler led in The Americans Creed and Stewart led The Preamble to the U.S. Constitution. The group accompanied by Doris Minor sang the National Anthem.

The President General’s message given by the Regent told of how excited the NSDAR Archivists are to have to preserve the collection of Sarah Corbin Robert’s papers and make accessible for researchers to “learn more about the accomplishments and connections of our Society’s 17th President General . They will open the window to a unique period of time in our nations history and that of DAR as well. This collection is significant because it provides a complete record of the many facets of her life, covering over 70 years. Her father-inlaw was the Robert who wrote Robert’s Rules of Order and she was a notable parliamentarian in her own right……We are grateful to her family for entrusting her collection to the NSDAR and its Archives.”
