Blue Devils Split Home, Away Games Last Week

The Cordell Blue Devils boys basketball team lost their road game at Minco Tuesday, Nov. 27, but bounced back to trounce the Tigers of Hollis Friday, Nov.


In the Tuesday outing, the boys started off slowly, scoring just five points in the opening quarter. The Bulldogs scored 13, opening up an eight point lead after the first period. The Devils fought back in the second quarter, outscoring the Bulldogs 17-15 and cutting the lead to just six points heading into the locker room at the half.

The second half saw an upswing in the offensive output of both teams. The Blue Devils put up 21 in the third quarter, outpacing the Bulldogs by one. The Bulldogs controlled the fourth quarter, extending their lead with a 22-20 performance and cinching the 70-63 victory over the visiting Blue Devils.
