Mixed Results for Washita County Sales Tax Revenues in November

Increased amounts of sales tax revenue for communities in Washita County hit something of a turn down in the last cycle, with only Burns Flat, Cordell, and Rocky seeing increases.

Although most communities did see a rise in collection of Use Tax, the increases were modest and, in most cases, did not erase the deficits in the sales tax collection.

The portion of Clinton which is in Washita County dropped about $10,000 over the same time last year, collecting just $5,486.42, compared with $15,488.13 with the same period in 2017.
