In its last meeting for November, the Cordell City Council discussed items regarding the city ordinance on occupation of travel trailers, the appointment of a representative for Cordell on the SWODA Board of Trustees, and renewal of the Washita Theatre lease.

Cordell Code Enforcement officer Brian Holden suggested altering the ordinance regarding occupation of travel trailers to allow temporary occupation on a limited basis.

He proposed allowing occupancy of up to seven days, with possible renewals, for special occasions. As examples he mentioned Christmas, Thanksgiving and school graduations.

Following a discussion City Attorney Johnny Beech was tasked with writing an updated ordinance allowing travel trailer occupancy of up to seven days, with a City permit, and no renewals.
