The arrival of Thanksgiving marks the beginning of the holiday season. The holiday season is a very busy time at the school, but it also means that Christmas and the Christmas break is right around the corner. In my article this week I would like to talk about the meaning of Thanksgiving.

Most people look at Thanksgiving as a time to be thankful for family and health as well as the other positive things in our lives. I am thankful for all of these things as well; my family and I have been blessed beyond measure. However, I would like to point out some other areas in which we should be thankful but often we don’t think about.

I would like for us to be thankful for our country, our state and our community. I often think about life in other countries. There are struggles and hardships that are faced with everyday life just to survive. Instability within our daily life is something we don’t have to worry about very often. This is truly a great country in which we live. Yes, there is plenty to complain about, but overall we are very blessed.
