McKee Retires From Postal Service

On Friday, September 28, 2018, Ronnie McKee, Cordell, retired from the United States Postal Service. McKee’s retirement followed 31 years of full time service, seven years as a substitute carrier, and well over a million miles driven as a rural carrier.

He also went through 15 to 18 vehicles during those years. “Ronnie spent the majority of his career as a rural carrier,” said Cordell Postmaster Steven Bolan. In recent years, McKee has also been an instructor at the Rural Carrier Academy held in Oklahoma City for all new hires.
