Everything at the school is pretty much business as usual now that we are in our third week of school. The students show up and our faculty and staff are ready to go. Once again, we are off to a good start to the school year. I would like to spend some time in this article talking about the safety of our students while at school.

The safety of our students, faculty and staff as well as parents or whoever else is on our campus is very important to me. We are constantly evaluating and reviewing plans both internally as well as with local law enforcement to ensure that we are being diligent in our efforts. Oklahoma Law dictates that we conduct fire, bus evacuation, security and tornado drills each semester. In addition, we must conduct two more security drills each semester. That is a total of 12 drills for the school year or six each semester which allows students have a better chance of recalling the proper procedures in the event of an actual emergency
