Brown Ford Sells

For the last 70 years there has been an Eddie Brown selling cars in Cordell, but that era ended Tuesday, August 14, when Eddie Brown, Jr. and his wife Talena sold their Ford dealership at 700 North Glenn English. Eddie, Sr., began selling cars in Cordell in 1948, with Eddie, Jr., joining the family business while he was still in high school. A 1966 Cordell High School graduate, Eddie, Jr. returned from Vietnam in 1969 and formally became a part of Eddie Brown and Son Used Cars. In the early 70s, Eddie, Jr. bought a salvage yard and used car lot in Cordell, then expanded by opening the Clinton Auto Auction in 1985.
