With a first place finish in the 800 meter run at the Meet of Champions held on May 15, Berkley Price secured her place in Oklahoma Track history, bringing home her 19th gold medal. She has also been named Oklahoma Female Athlete of the Year by the Oklahoma Coaches Association (OCA).

“This is an amazing honor for Berkley,” said Cordell Head Coach Jana Rogers.

“The award goes to only one girl from all sports in all classes. I can’t really say I am surprised, though. Nobody else could, or ever has, put together a high school athletic resume like Berkley has done.” She continued, “It is hard to say how awesome it is to have our athlete win this award, and Berkley deserves it. I have watched her over the last seven years and can honestly say I have never seen anyone train like she does, always going above and beyond. She is so self-disciplined. It has been a privilege to be a part of her high school athletic career and this is definitely a well-deserved honor
