My Point Of View

Every four years our country lines up and holds an election to fill the office of President. While the results have sometimes taken time to be determined (at least once in recent memory the results were undetermined for weeks as ballots were counted and new phrases were added to our vocabulary,) we were all confident the process was working and we would, at the very least, be adequately represented. At the end of the current election cycle, however, many of us are being left unsettled by the nasty rhetoric of this campaign, and the poor choices with which we are faced on a national level. I can’t help but wonder how, in a country of approximately 320 million people, we were left with only these two very flawed choices.
