Dr. Kathryn Ann Trissell, 57, of Elk City, Oklahoma, was born on June 25, 1957, in Elk City, Oklahoma. She was the daughter of Russell Dawes and Ann Winston (Shelton) Trissell. Kathryn went to be with her
Lord and Savior on February 27, 2015, at Great Plains Regional Medical Center, Elk City, Oklahoma. She enjoyed University of Oklahoma Sports, traveling, music, fishing, and was a great cook. Kathryn was
a member of the University of Oklahoma Alumni Association. She loved to play the piano and sing at the Antioch Christian Church. Kathryn was a graduate of Sentinel High School class of 1975. She then graduated from the University of Oklahoma with her undergraduate degree in Arts in December of 1979. In June of 1984, she graduated from the University of Oklahoma, College of Medicine with her medical degree,
specializing in internal medicine. After graduation she returned to Elk City and began her medical practice in which she continued for twenty-seven years. Kathryn was known for her exceptional medical skills in
internal medicine, along with her passion and caring that she gave to each of her patients. Memorial services were held Tuesday, March 3, 2015, at Martin-Dugger Funeral Home Chapel in Elk City, Oklahoma. Todd Moss officiated. Services were under thedirection of Martin-Dugger Funeral Home in Elk City, Oklahoma. She is survived by her mother, Ann Trissell of Elk City, Oklahoma; brother, Terry Trissell and his wife, Sharon of Elk City, Oklahoma; sister-in-law, Bonnie Trissell of Clinton, Oklahoma; nieces, Anna Peters and her husband, Brett of New Braunfels, Texas, and Tracy Showalter and her husband, Ron of Clinton, Oklahoma; and great-nephew, Gage Trissell of New Braunfels, Texas.Kathryn was preceded in death by her father, Russell Trissell; brother, Darrell G. Trissell; niece, Natalie K. Trissell; and nephew, Brooks B. Trissell. Memorials can be made to the Arthritis Foundation in care of Martin-Dugger Funeral Home, 600 W.
